Dear Parents, Teachers and Pupils

I hope that you’ve had a good Easter break. Please take a minute to read the following important information:

1. It appears unlikely that we’ll be able to use Allerton High School for our Sunday lessons in the next academic year in Sept. because of their building programme. Therefore we’ll not start the registration of pupils for 07-08 until the school site is confirmed by Education Leeds. Please keep an eye on posters which will be displayed in Chinese supermarkets / restaurants or visit our school web-site at www.leedschineseschool.org.uk for further information. I’ll give this out as soon as it’s available.
   
   
2. The school A.G.M. is on the 20th May 1 – 2 pm in the School library. Please make every effort to attend so that we can discuss any concerns and decide who you’d like to run affairs of the school as Committee members.
   
   
3. Please note that in response to Mr. Yung's article published in the 40th Anniversary School Magazine, Mr. Mak has contacted the school and stated that he did not "suddenly declare(d) that the school was to close" when he was the Headteacher. The school did not wish to cause any offence to Mr. Mak or his family arising from this article.
   
   
4. Pupils’ Final Examination is on 1.7.07. Awards Ceremony & Class Performance day is on 15.7.07 between 2 – 3:30 pm at the School hall.
   
   
5. May I also remind you that the safety of all our school users is of paramount importance and that we must all observe Health and Safety measures at all times, especially when dropping off and picking up children.

親愛的家長、老師及同學：

希望你們過了一個愉快的複活節假期，請用些許時間來細讀以下幾項重要的資料。

1. 由於 Allerton High School 的重建問題，由下一學年開始，我們應該不能夠繼續借之為校舍。因此，在利玆教育部決定新的校址前，我校是不會接收任何 07-08 年度的入學申請的。關於學校的最新資料，請留意各華人超級市場和酒樓內的告示板所張貼的海報或瀏覽學校的網頁： www.leedschineseschool.org.uk 。有進一步的消息，學校會盡早通知各位。
   
   
2. 學校的週年大會在五月二十日，一時至兩時在學校圖書館舉行。請各位踴躍參與及為委員會選出新一屆的委員。
   
   
3. 就四十週年校刊裡，翁先生投稿的文章，麥先生通知學校及表明當他仍是校長時，他沒有立刻決定關閉學校。學校並不希望因此文章令麥先生與其家人產生任何的不滿。
   
   
4. 末期考試定在零七年七月一日，而畢業頒獎禮將於七年七月十五日，學校大堂舉行。
   
   
5. 我亦藉是次機會提醒各家長，請注意貴子女在校的安全，尤其是當你們接送孩子的時候。請各家長遵守學校所制定的健康與安全規定。
